    Refrigeration Engineer


    PREAH Building Services are looking to recruit a Refrigeration Engineer to join our expanding team. 

    Working as a mobile engineer, you will be responsible for carrying out planned and reactive maintenance works across Scotland for a diverse portfolio of exciting clients and projects.


    Key responsibilities will include: 

    • Ensuring works are being delivered on time and within budget. 

    • Prioritising tasks to ensure attendance SLA’s are met. 

    • Pricing and sourcing materials for specific installations and repairs to assist service desk administrators, site visits to measure for replacement equipment. 

    • Ensuring client satisfaction and the quality of service provided. 

    • Undertaking and executing all operations under their remit and reporting directly to Service Supervisor. 

    • Identifying and implementing innovations to improve service delivery. 

    • Ensuring the company systems are implemented in a manner that fully complies with all legal, qualitative, health, safety and environmental standards and other relevant guidance. 

    • Ensuring contractual, technical ompliance with contractual requirements. 

    • Ensuring, demonstrating, reviewing, and monitoring compliance, to meet the expectation and needs of the  Client, and the quality and organisational goals of the company. 

    • Inspecting and testing occupied properties, ensuring safety and compliance.  

    • Completing all paperwork and producing certification associated with works undertaken

    • Monitoring and maintaining good levels of van stock and ensuring tools and equipment are kept in a suitable condition.

    • Participation in an on-call rota service is mandatory.


    What qualities will you need to be successful?

    • Ability to work under own initiative 

    • A proactive approach to ensure that concerns are dealt with or relayed to senior management as necessary

    • A flexible and adaptable approach 

    • Solution-focused and with good problem-solving skills

    • Good attention to detail and organization skills


    What we require:

    • City & Guilds qualification, NVQ 3 or relevant experience as an Electrician (Part P and 18th Edition preferred) 

    • Current Certificate to BS2391 or equivalent standard in testing and inspection 

    • Experience working with an FM environment within a mobile role. 

    • Skill levels in all aspects of electrical installation, servicing, and maintenance. 

    • Competence in fault finding and carrying out PPM tasks within set time schedules. 

    • Competence with mobile CAFM applications.

    • Full UK Driver’s License. 

    • Happy to complete Disclosure Scotland background check. 

    • IPAF/ PASMA (would be advantageous) 

    • NIC EIC REGISTERED (Preferred)
