    A Year in Review

As we come to the end of what has turned out be a very strange and challenging year, we want to shed light on some of our success stories and proud achievements in the face of adversity. This year has proven to be a real test of strength and character for everyone. We’ve all had to dig deep - as the old saying goes, what doesn’t kill you makes you stronger. With that in mind, PREAH has been able to find some success through persistence, discipline, unity and support for each other, and a bit of creative thinking. That being said, we fully understand that not everyone was afforded the same opportunity to work given some of the restrictions put in place by the Scottish Government. We realise that we are in the very fortunate position to be a business that operates within one of the few industries that hasn’t suffered anywhere near the same level of dismay and disruption in 2020 as that of say, tourism, hospitality and retail. We sympathise deeply with those who work within these sectors where many of us have friends and family, and we hope to see you all bounce back in 2021!

    Business is Personal

Our proudest achievement this year was simply being in a position to bring all furloughed staff back to work in June. Since then we have taken measures to ensure that everyone is kept safe, healthy and in full-time work. We’ve even managed to do a bit of recruitment along the way too, adding to what is already a strong team of people.

    Welcome to our New Clients

After a fantastic team-effort in building up a robust and comprehensive tender submission, PREAH have been confirmed as the service & maintenance provider to CJ Lang for their Scottish SPAR stores. We will be covering the maintenance and reactive work for all of their refrigeration and air conditioning plant. We are extremely honoured and thankful to be given such an opportunity by CJ Lang and we can’t wait to get started. In addition to being awarded the CJ Lang contract, back in October PREAH were selected to be the service and maintenance provider for all refrigeration equipment at the very prestigious and charming Gleneagles Hotel AKA The Glorious Playground. Big thanks to the estates team for giving us this opportunity!

    Special Mention

It would be remiss of us not to mention our partnership with AKP over the past 9 months in delivering the Scottish Power 4-storey office refurbishment in Blantyre. This has been our flagship project of the year and we’re proudly nearing a successful completion. Big thanks to AKP for bringing us along for the ride and we hope to get the opportunity to work with them again in 2021.

    Final Thoughts

To conclude, we’ve been pretty busy. This difficult year has proven that PREAH is prepared to take on challenges and that the business possesses the resilience to come out the other end stronger. We have a fantastic roster of skilled management staff and engineers who have been fundamental to PREAH's success this year. They have gone above and beyond to ensure works continued as normal despite the ongoing changes within our communities. The successes we have enjoyed throughout 2020 have not been easy and they have taken a lot of hard work and planning. This continued growth would not have been possible without our incredible team and their commitment to the business so we want to finish by thanking them for their hard work.

Wishing you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
